Modular Assault Rifle System – Light (MARS-L)
The MARS-L is the primary individual weapon for all three Services and is used by every soldier, sailor and airman within the NZDF.
It is available in two different primary configurations depending upon the individual Service requirement. -

The M3 Benelli shotgun is used in two primary configurations by all three Services.
Dependent on the nature of ammunition used it is capable of delivering the following tactical outputs: less than lethal, breeching, short range lethal effects, and pest control. -
MAG 58 - 7.62mm Machine Gun
The MAG 58 is used in a variety of configurations across the NZDF to provide offensive and defensive support. It can be fired off its own integral bipod, a sustained fire tripod or various vehicle and aircraft mounts.

The Javelin MRAAW is a highly effective anti-armour ‘fire and forget’ missile system for infantry. This shoulder-fired precision missile is designed to destroy tanks and other armoured vehicles, as well as hovering helicopters.

The Carl Gustaf M3 is used to target enemy tanks, other armoured vehicles and fortified positions.
