Results from another round of water quality testing were received at yesterday and have been added to the table below. Aluminium levels all continue to meet the drinking water standard at all locations.

While still compliant, the aluminium levels at Currie Cres have increased since Thursday’s sample. This is probably due to lower turnover in this isolated section of the network. Fire crews flushed water from hydrants in Currie Cres yesterday morning as a precaution.

Our water source, Waiouru Stream, has been added to the list of sampling locations. This water is untreated, and the results reflect the natural background levels of aluminium in the environment.
