The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) provides a comprehensive pay package for its Civil Staff.
Civil Staff members are paid fortnightly based on the terms of their employment agreement. Different employment agreements refer to specific pay scales, and members are paid according to these agreed rates.
NZDF also offers a 4% employer superannuation contribution for Civil Staff who are enrolled in a superannuation scheme.
In some cases, additional pay may be approved if a member’s role requires higher-level or specialised skills.
