Woodbourne Water Notices

Good news! The raw water main repair was successful and the treatment plant started making water again at around 7:30pm. There is no longer any risk of running out of water and we can continue to use water as normal.

The raw water main that brings water from the bore to the treatment plant has burst this afternoon. Urgent repairs are underway and, in the meantime, we are relying on storage in the water tower.

The Boil Water Notice for Woodbourne has been lifted as of 3pm today, Friday 24th July.

The boil water notice remains in place. Samples collected yesterday (Monday) show groundwater quality in the bore continuing to improve in terms of bacterial contamination, and the treated water still clear from E.coli and total coliforms.

NZ Defence Force has issued a precautionary Boil Water notice for the RNZAF Base Woodbourne water supply (including airport and housing area), due to excessively high turbidity in our bores following last week’s storm.
