Waiouru Military Camp can be found in the central North Island. With Mount Ruapehu as its backdrop, the rugged and challenging environment of the Waiouru Military Training Area makes it an exceptional area for open and close country training and live firing exercises. -
Ōhakea
RNZAF Base Ohakea is one of three military air bases in New Zealand. Located in the central North Island, Ohakea is 22km north-west of Palmerston North and 17km west of Feilding in the Manawatū region.

Linton Military Camp is our largest Army camp, and can be found in the central North Island, just south of Palmerston North. From engineers and logistics to infantry and armour, Linton Military Camp is a hub for Army activity.

Trentham Military Camp (TMC) can be found in the lower North Island, in Upper Hutt near Wellington. Accommodating all three services, TMC is a tri-Service camp.

RNZAF Base Woodbourne can be found west of Blenheim in the upper South Island. A key training and support Base, Woodbourne is where our newest recruits undergo initial military training before officially joining our ranks.

Dip Flat Military Training Camp is principally used for RNZAF field training and comes under the command of RNZAF Base Woodbourne.

Burnham Military Camp is the largest Army camp in the South Island. It is located 28km south of Christchurch.

Tekapo Military Training Area is set in the sparse, mountainous, and often snow-touched landscapes of the South Island. Tekapo provides a field training, firing and manoeuvre area for units of the New Zealand Army, Royal New Zealand Air Force and foreign militaries.
