2022 Cadet of the Year announced

Congratulations to the New Zealand Cadet Forces Cadet of the Year for 2022, Cadet Warrant Officer Class One (CFCDTW/O) Shane Marwood, the Warrant Officer Northern Area.

Winning this award is a testament to his comradeship and commitment, conducting voluntary work above and beyond of what is expected in developing his peers as successful leaders of tomorrow.

The Cadet of the Year Award is a nomination and selection process that recognises the Cadet who most exemplifies the NZCF core values of Courage, Commitment, Comradeship, and Integrity, during a calendar year.

Any cadet (CDTWO1(E) and below) can be nominated for the Cadet of the Year Award.

The Selection Panel looked for an individual who exemplified the complete set of NZCF values, whilst displaying an outstanding example of one or more of them.
