About School to Seas

School to Seas is a camp for Y12 and 13 students who are actively considering their career options and want to see what the Navy can offer.

Learn a trade, earn educational qualifications, grow your confidence levels, develop your leadership and resilience skills, enjoy heaps of benefits, travel the world and make mates for life, and get paid for it.

Students in high vis jackets and hard hard hats stand in a drydock looking up the stern of a large ship that has two large propellors.

What you'll learn

You’ll get to experience life as a sailor for three days! Where they eat, sleep, work and play. You’ll have plenty of interaction with our people in uniform and you can ask them anything about why they joined and what keeps them excited and motivated about their job.

Most importantly, you’ll see first-hand the traditions, values and heritage of the Navy and what it means to protect and serve the nation and its citizens.

You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.
