RNZAF Black Falcons North Island tour this weekend cancelled

The New Zealand Defence Force has cancelled the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) Black Falcons aerobatic team North Island tour scheduled for this weekend.

Squadron Leader Matt Stapp, the Officer Commanding Central Flying School, which is the unit responsible for the Black Falcons and himself a member of the team, said that they had been looking forward to the tour, but Black Falcons displays and flypasts were always subject to operational considerations.

“We know a lot of people have been looking forward to seeing us over the weekend and will be disappointed that we have had to cancel. So are we, and we hope to make up for that in the future.”
