The New Zealand Defence Force has discussed this issue with the Australian Defence Force.
Emails advising of the potential exposure and risk have been sent to all currently serving personnel affected by this issue.
We have tried to reach those who have left the Defence Force by placing information online, in our Service publications, using networks of organisations like the RNZRSA, and alerting the New Zealand media to this issue.
Information has been placed on Service Medical Records to ensure that personnel can easily access any care and assistance they may need through Veterans’ Affairs New Zealand or the ACC scheme.
