The Inter-Services Bodybuilding competition was held in conjunction with the Auckland Regional Body Building Championships recently.

Forty competitors took part with seven representatives from the Defence Force. What the Services team lacked in quantity they made up for in quality with some excellent results from a team of largely first time competitors, Jeff Foster being the only one to have competed previously—and that was some nine years ago. “The two overall Services winners had an opportunity to compete against the more experienced competitors from the Auckland champs, both of whom held their own despite such quality competition,” said organiser and judge Willie Walker.

The next Combined Services competition will be held within the next 12 months. A date and venue are yet to be finalised.
