A media lock up will be held at Defence Force Headquarters in Aitken St in Wellington on Thursday 28 October between 1330hrs and 1430hrs followed by a media conference beginning at 1430hrs.
The Chief of Defence Force, Lieutenant General Jerry Mateparae, will be leading the media conference and answering questions in relation to the recently completed Court of Inquiry into the appointment of Mr Stephen Wilce to the position of Director of the Defence Technology Agency in July 2005.
The lock up is to allow attending media to thoroughly read the contents of the report. Public release of the Report of the Court of Inquiry is embargoed until the completion of the media conference. The NZ Defence Force does not intend to make any further comment on this matter other than that made at the media conference.
