Welcome for Timor Leste Prime Minister

His Excellency Xanana Gusmao, Prime Minister, Timor Leste will be welcomed to New Zealand at a ceremony at Parliament this Thursday.  The ceremony will be supported by members of the New Zealand Defence Force including a 50-person guard of honour and a 19 gun-salute. 

What: Welcome ceremony

When: Thursday 28 August, 1545

Where: Parliament Grounds

On 29 August HE Mr Gusmao will attend a wreath laying ceremony at the National War Memorial and Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, Buckle Street, Wellington commencing at 0815. Chief of Staff, Commodore Pat Williams will represent the Chief of Defence Force.
