French Navy Frigate visits Auckland

French Frigate FNS PRAIRIAL will conduct a port visit to Auckland from Friday 13 June until Wednesday 18 June.  Under the command of Commander Benoit Rouviere, PRAIRAL, with her complement of 11 Officers and 81 sailors, berthed at Princes Wharf, Auckland City at 9:00 am this morning.

Whilst the purpose of FNS PRAIRIAL’s visit is primarily for rest and recreation, the Commanding Officer will be conducting official calls in Auckland and a soccer tournament between the PRAIRIAL and the Royal NZ Navy Soccer Team is planned.   

FNS PRAIRIAL is scheduled to depart Auckland at 9:00 am on Wednesday 18 June.
