Op Kiwi winners announcement

To raise awareness of Anzac Day and our overseas missions the New Zealand Defence Force has been running Operation Kiwi, a design competition for Year 6 to 10 students.  Over 600 entries have been received.  Weta Workshop Director Richard Taylor will be announcing the winners on Tuesday.

What:  Announcement of the winners of Operation Kiwi
Where:  Level 1, Defence House, 2 Aitken Street, Thorndon, Wellington
When:  Tuesday 6 May at 3.00pm.

A selection of the entries will be on display including an Anzac biscuit which heals sores and contains small bombs, a Kiwi robot that fires rockets, sunscreen soap, and a camouflaged jet-board.  This event will be attended by the Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant General Jerry Mateparae, Defence Force personnel, Richard Taylor and guests from Weta Workshop.
