This year there will be a large NZ Army presence at, and competing in, the Auckland Marathon with the aim of showcasing the Army as a viable career option to both competitors and supporters alike.
NZ Army Recruiting will have several displays and interactive challenges set up at Victoria Park from 0700 hrs - 1600 hrs on race day (Sunday 28 October) and approximately 20 Army soldiers and officers will be competing in the various running events.
The public are invited to come along and see what a Pinzgauer 6 x 6 Light Operational Vehicle and Unimog truck look like close up. The public will also be able to see if they have what it takes to complete the Army challenges on the day.
Army Recruiters and Army personnel will be on hand all day to talk about the numerous careers available within the Army.
