Friday, 17 August 2007

Under the command of Naval Pilot, Lieutenant Commander James Taylor (Helensville), one of the Navy’s fleet of five Seasprite Helicopters will be landing at Southland Boys High School, Invercargill at 1.00 pm on Tuesday 21 August.

With the support of Navy Recruiting Staff, the Pilot and his crew will be providing a static display at the school with opportunities for the students to view the aircraft and talk about a career in the Navy.

It will be a day to remember for two lucky students, Southland Boys High School Head Boy, Ben Maynard and Southland Girls High School Head Girl, Caitlin Booth, who will depart onboard the Seasprite Helicopter for the flight from Southland Boys High School to Invercargill Airport.

The Seasprite will return to Invercargill to provide a static display at the Southland Careers EXPO on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 August.  The Pilot and his crew are looking forward to showing off their aircraft and meeting the people of Southland.

On completion of the EXPO on Friday 24 August, the Seasprite will depart for the journey back home to Auckland.
