A Royal New Zealand Air Force Orion aircraft will swoop over RNZAF Base Woodbourne on Thursday to celebrate the graduation of 52 new Air Force recruits.
The fly past will kick-off a graduation parade at 1.10pm to recognise the culmination of 12 weeks of basic military training by the new recruits.
RNZAF recruit courses are held three times per year at RNZAF Base Woodbourne. During the course the recruits learn basic military skills, writing skills and parade drill.
In a couple of weeks the new recruits will be posted out to begin training for a wide variety of Air Force careers.
