His Royal Highness, The Duke of York, will visit the Devonport Naval Base on Monday 19 March 2007.
During his visit he will receive a 100 man Royal Guard of Honour at the North Yard Parade Ground, a powhiri and wero at the Navy Marae and visit the Navy's Bridge Simulator.
A number of Navy personnel (both military and civilian) will have opportunity to meet His Royal Highness at a 'meet and greet' over morning tea at the Navy Marae.
On completion of his formal visit to the base, His Royal Highness will be the Guest of Honour at a luncheon hosted by the Chief of Navy, Rear Admiral David Ledson.
A 21 Gun Salute will be fired from HMNZS PHILOMEL as a mark of respect for His Royal Highness at 11:00am on Monday.
