The Royal New Zealand Air Force pulled out all the stops to engage with New Zealand's public at the Air Force Open Day on Saturday 21 March 2009.
A record crowd of more than 50,000 people gathered at RNZAF Base Whenuapai, where they were treated to both air and ground displays. It also gave the public the opportunity to interact directly with RNZAF personnel.
