From 1-3 October 2008 three New Zealand Defence Force teams participated in the
Accor $10 Queenstown Challenge, a major fundraiser for Cure Kids, a charity that funds vital medical research for children with life threatening illnesses. The event is a contest in which teams of two people are given $10 in Auckland and have to use various modes of transport to get their team to Queenstown in three days. Along the way they are asked to complete various tasks, some of which are shown below.
