Limited Service Volunteer Company
The Limited Service Volunteer (LSV) course is a combined Ministry of Social Development and NZDF initiative hosted at Burnham military camp. It aims to build self confidence in young people to enhance their employment or further training prospects. About 700 trainees attend the six week courses each year. To be eligible for admission to the programme a trainee should be aged between 18-25 and be registered with Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ). These images of trainees and staff were taken during the first LSV course intake of 2009.
