His Royal Highness Prince William received a royal salute from the 100-man Air Force, Navy and Army Guard of Honour when he arrived in Wellington on 18 January 2010. He spoke with a number of New Zealand Defence Force personnel, and was accompanied by the Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant General Jerry Mateparae as he inspected the guard. He was also joined by NZ's Prime Minister John Key and National War Memorial Chairperson David Ledson at a wreath laying ceremony.
