Passchendaele

New Zealanders and the people of Belgium came together at a series of events during 4 - 12 October 2007 to mark the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele .

Two official ceremonies were held at ‘s Graventafel and Tyne Cot in Belgium on 4 October. NZ representatives at the ceremonies included the Prime Minister, Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant General Jerry Mateparae, Chief of Army Major General Lou Gardiner, NZDF personnel from the UK and New Zealand, veterans, and Government officials. Australian representatives also attended ceremonies.
