Thirteen nations, 12 military marching bands, and the NZDF Maori Cultural Group participated in the pomp and ceremony that was the Kuala Lumpur International Tattoo. Over three nights the 35-strong group performed a mix of traditional weapon display, poi, action songs and haka in front of audiences around 10,000 people, including the King of Malaysia. The Tattoo was held as part of celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of Malaysian independence.
