State Welcome for King and Queen of Spain

The New Zealand Defence Force paraded a 100-person tri-Service Guard of Honour as part of the State Welcome for King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain at Parliament on Tuesday 23 June. The Central Band of the RNZAF played the national anthems of Spain and New Zealand.

Prior to the State Welcome the Spanish Royals paid their respects at the National War Memorial and the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior.
