The Defence Force deployed to Gallipoli, Turkey for the 95th Anniversary for the battle of Gallipoli in where the ANZAC's first fought together. Joining Defence Force personnel were several veterans, school students and cadet force representatives. While in Gallipoli the contingent learned that three RNZAF air men had died on their way to Anzac commemorations in New Zealand. A service for them was held on the contingent's plane.
