Having no prior knowledge she was to receive the accolade, Able Communications Operator Kirsten Hobson was pleasantly surprised when she was presented with her Good Conduct Badge at the Captain’s Table at the New Zealand Provincial Reconstruction Team’s (NZ PRT) Briefing Room in Afghanistan recently.
The award was presented in between Operations on Sunday 5 July 2009 by LT COL Nic Gillard RNZA, Chief of Staff of the 14th rotation of the NZ PRT to Afghanistan. Kirsten's Division Officer for the occasion was LT Jeremy Packham who is on secondment from the RNZNVR.
The Army style Orderly Room drill ensured it was a day ACO Hobson will always remember!
