Royal Guard of Honour for Prince William
The New Zealand Defence Force will parade a 100-person Royal Guard of Honour for His Royal Highness (HRH), Prince William as part of a ceremony in Wellington on 18 January. The Queen’s Colours and Prince William’s Standard will be among the flags on display at ceremony which will also include a 21 gun salute.
Following the inspection of the Guard of Honour the Prince will lay a wreath in the Hall of Memories at the National War Memorial. At the conclusion of the ceremony Prince William will meet with selected members of the Guard of Honour and Central Band of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
The Prince will visit New Zealand from 17-19 January, as part of his duties he will represent the Queen at the opening of the new Supreme Court building in Wellington.
Prince William, 27, last visited New Zealand in 2005 for the British Lions’ rugby tour.
