The Planning Branch is comprised of a Strategic and Annual Planning Group and a Programme Monitoring and Reporting Group, responsible for NZDF planning, performance management, programme management and strategic management. This includes:
- managing the NZDF strategic planning and annual planning processes, including the preparation of the NZDF Strategic Plan, Statement of Intent (SoI), Output Plan, Annual Report, and other corporate documentation
- monitoring performance against the Strategic Plan, SoI, Output Plan and business plan outputs against specified performance targets, including personnel, financial and capability targets
- programme management support and advice, including the coordination, monitoring, administration and support of approved programmes and projects
- providing advice to the Executive Leadership Team on governance and strategic issues and options.
