The official aim of the Joint Warrant Officer Advanced Course (JWOAC) is to:
‘Suitably prepare selected NZDF Warrant Officers for senior strategic advisory positions within either the single Service or NZDF’
The Joint Warrant Officer Advanced Course (JWOAC) is an annually conducted, six week long residential development course for senior Warrant Officers of the New Zealand Defence Force.
JWOAC provides a strong foundation on which to fully develop selected Warrant Officers as effective strategic advisors of the future.
Developed from the aspirations of many, the vision of a few and the needs of Command, it provides through its objectives and outcomes the necessary tools to equip Warrant Officers transitioning from the tactical and operation arena into the strategic.
Based on adult learning methodologies JWOAC provides the optimum environment for Warrant Officers to learn, experience and utilise newly acquired knowledge.
JWOAC, when combined with the enduring individualised development programme, the Joint Warrant Officer Advanced Programme (JWOAP), will ensure that an individual development continuum is put in place to meet the needs of the Service and the individual for the remainder of their Service careers.
