Message from the Director CSC, CDR Shaun Fogarty
It is with much pleasure that I write to you as a graduate of the Command and Staff College and to invite you, past graduate or staff member, to become a member of the College Alumni Association.
Whilst an Association has existed at various times in our 58 year history, it became apparent to me when I was appointed Director of the CSC that the Association needed to be revitalised as we were missing a golden opportunity to have a functioning and well connected Alumni. My own personal and professional associations with other Staff Colleges around the world have shown me that an Alumni Association can be of great benefit to everyone involved.
The main aims of the CSC Alumni Association will be to:
- assist graduates of the College in keeping connected;
- provide relevant professional military articles and information that will be of interest to graduates;
- provide a useful tool for communicating personal news such as promotion, postings and achievements of graduates; and
- assist in facilitating course reunions and Alumni conferences.
The Association is still in its infancy and I hope that, with your help, suggestions and support, it will become a vibrant and effective Association to be involved with. Membership is free and does not create any obligation. There will also be the ability to purchase the CSC Alumni Tie and Scarf which will be based on the original design going back some 50 years.
Please take a few minutes to download and complete the membership registration form [.doc 929Kb] and send it back to our Alumni Secretary. We will be in contact with you shortly to outline further plans for the Association. Could I also encourage you to forward this invitation to any other CSC graduates whom you have remained connected with. This will be a huge help in ensuring that we make contact with as many graduates as possible.
