The provision of land combat force elements (command, control and intelligence, and manoeuvre elements) prepared for the conduct of land operations. This expense also includes contributions to a range of services to the Government and the community.
Over recent years the infantry elements of the Army have undergone significant change. The NZ Light Armoured Vehicles (LAVs) are integral to the battalions. This combined arms approach offers the infantry greater mobility, firepower and protection than previously available and forms the key to the future fighting capability of the Army.
